BREAKING EARTH DAY/ WOODSTOCK NEWS!! WE WON!!

Dear Teachers and Students,

We are very appreciative of your participation in our Rain Barrel Decoration Contest. Each school did an outstanding job of decorating and “telling the story” of our waters. It was difficult to choose just one barrel, but we finally decided on the barrel from Woodstock Elementary. We felt their barrel would speak to the homeowners in Virginia Beach, partly because it shows a house with a rain barrel attached.

We enjoyed coming to your schools, meeting all of you, and sharing a few thoughts about the importance of taking care of our waterways. We hope you will install and use your rain barrel as a way to conserve and help keep our storm water clean. Hopefully, many of the adults at your schools will see the rain barrel and want to install a barrel at their own homes. We know your hard work will influence others in ways that you may never know.

Thank you for your positive contributions and your hospitality when we visited.

Sincerely,

Terri Belkov and Mary Hubbard
