All About Woodstock

Together, Building A Better Future - that's what Woodstock is all about. Together, the faculty, staff and parents are working together to build a better future for the students of Woodstock Elementary. Please take a few moments to learn more about the Wonderful Woodchucks at Woodstock.

Mission Statement

Woodstock Elementary School is committed to providing academic excellence for all learners.

Values

We value people, ideas, and learning; encourage communication and growth, and provide opportunities and challenges so that we may all grow and learn.

Philosophy

Woodstock Elementary School’s philosophy is to provide the instruction, educational opportunities, and support necessary so that our students will develop the fundamental skills and processes necessary for continued acquisition and use of knowledge. In our ever-changing world, all students should possess a common body of knowledge. Woodstock Elementary School is committed to providing our students with the knowledge to enable them to explore and express their individual creativity, to reach their potential, and to function as contributing members in a democratic society. The school, students, parents, and the community must share the responsibility in accomplishing our objectives.

Strategic Plan

1. To meet the needs of at-risk students.

2. To increase use of available technologies by teachers and students.

3. To increase parental involvement in instruction and curriculum, especially for parents of at-risk students.

4. To improve student writing skills across the curriculum.

5. To refine and expand the foreign language program, and promote cultural diversity.
